Here is your opportunity to accrue free APA membership for next year (and the years beyond); it’s fun, it’s easy and it’s in-keeping with your status as a professional PA.
All you have to do
- Save while you rave! If you are proud of being an APA member it is natural that you will tell friends, colleagues and associates about the benefits of membership when you chat with them; everyone does it, it’s a human trait. But APA goes further and rewards you for your support.
- Share the benefits. For every New Member who joins as a result of your recommendation and quotes your Membership Number as the reference on their application form, they will save 40% of their registration fee (worth £10),
- And you will be credited with £5 towards your next years Membership fee for every member that joins (quoting your Membership Number on application),
- And beyond. For every additional member that joins (quoting your Membership Number on application) beyond the number needed for your free membership, you can elect to either:
- Continue to accrue credits towards future years membership, or,
- Opt to receive a £5 M&S Voucher for each new member (quoting your Membership Number on their application) – please note that for administrative purposes vouchers will only be paid out annually.
Now how is that for a membership benefit!
And here are a few ideas to get you started
- Why not phone (or email) all of your PA contacts and tell them about APA; direct them to the website and the joining page and don’t forget to tell them that they will save money if they quote your membership number on the application form. Don’t forget to tell them to ask their boss if the company will pay (it’s a legitimate business expense and is tax deductible).
- Why not ask your boss if s/he will pay for a small lunch in the office for you to network with the PAs of all of his/her most important local contacts. Invite them in, talk about the business, PA issues and don’t forget to mention the APA (and your membership number).
- Write an internal press release (see the APA Press Centre for ideas) and ask for it to be included in your company’s newsletter or e-newsletter. Ask people to contact you for details.
- Why not speak to the CEO/MD or Chairman and encourage them to see the benefit of enrolling all PAs in the business as a benefit for the business and the individual. It is low cost and will certainly pay dividends for the business (and remember to mention that there are savings for the business if they quote your membership number).
You could even register as an APA Agent
If you are taking a career break, looking for a new job or on maternity leave you could earn a little extra income by registering as an APA agent and recruiting new members (please note we are extremely strict about agent’s ethics and you must approach all peers in a professional, friendly and appropriate manner). Call APA for more details.
Notes
Please note that M&S or equivalent vouchers are non transferable.
The notification of accrual will be sent only to the address record in the Membership database. No attempt will be made to locate members who have moved and failed to update their membership record.
APA reserves the right to discontinue this offer at any time following no less than one month’s notice to members in what ever form it chooses to take.
