Biography

Colin is a Non Executive Director of APA and specialises in all forms of internet, communication and media technology. With Gareth he was one of the founders of APA and retains a regular involvement in all facets of the business.

He is currently Head of Resourcing for G4S.

Colin launched his career with the Securicor Group, fulfilling a range of sales and marketing roles in its security division before joining the recruitment industry in 1997 with Securicor Recruitment Services.

He achieved high levels of success in a range of junior management positions, resulting in him securing a headline role in its National Account Team. He joined Randstad via acquisition in the capacity of Corporate/International Account Manager, which involved winning/managing a portfolio of UK/International accounts totalling £174M annual revenue.

Colin developed an expertise in new start up projects by developing and implementing Randstad’s bespoke Driving Division to support 10 nationally distributed Driving Support Branches. He moved into the online recruitment arena in 2003 as the Sales and Marketing Manager at jobs.co.uk, before accepting the role of Managing Director for RE-source.uk.com Ltd, the technology subsidiary of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC).

He is regarded as one of the UK’s leading authorities specialising in traditional/online recruitment software and solutions and e-HR technologies. Colin now uses his technology expertise to power APA’s online presence and functionality suite and is continually assessing and sourcing new innovations and technologies to introduce to the APA membership.
